These stockings do a really good job of compression and help with my orthostatic intolerance. The top elastic does lose grip after a while and I can make them stay up by moistening the rubbery band. However, with or without moisture, the bands leave me with itchy stripes on the thighs after a few days' wear. So now I'm going to buy the full-length tights so I can try alternating them with the stockings.
