"I’m Craig, I’m 36 years old and was diagnosed with primary lymphoedema in 2012 at the age of 30. I've lived with this condition since I was 17 years old. I spent 18 years as a chef usually working 12 plus hours a day which was spent on my feet. I gave up the chef's life due to no longer being able withstand the discomfort I was getting each day, which was hard as I couldn't understand if I'd had this condition for this long then how had it become more unbearable to work with. Currently I'm learning all I can about the condition I live with along with sharing the information and spreading the awareness of a condition that many others suffer with. Each day is a struggle but with a lot of self care and kindness to our self, we can learn to understand and manage this condition.
I’m telling my story and opening up about my life, to help bring awareness and support to all those affected by this condition.
